William Pitchford
President and General Manager
William Pitchford is a co-founder of VECTARE with 25-years experience in wireless sensors, electrical engineering, computer science, embedded systems, and technology integration with business development. William is the co-author of several patents at VECTARE, and a co-author of the Energy Harvesting in Water Meters Algorithm. Prior to VECTARE, William worked with Goodrich Aerospace leading the engineering team to architect and deploy complex communication and processing systems to connect airborne sensors with users. William worked with Hughes Aircraft as both a hardware and software developer where he integrated revolutionary control and processing systems with some of the worlds most complex airborne sensors currently in-use throughout the world.
William holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and never misses a chance to mountain bike or hit the slopes.
Don Pitchford
Vice President of Engineering
Don, a VECTARE co-founder , is charged with aligning technology development with the fast pace of innovation. He is responsible for developing VECTARE’s capabilities to allow for rapid product development of products to meet the needs of the customers. Don brings to VECTARE the knowledge for convergence of embedded technology with IP networks. He joined VECTARE from Cisco Systems in Silicon Valley where he was part of the team that brought fourth the technology to enable the convergence of voice, video and data on a common network.
Don holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from George Mason University.
John Pitchford
Vice President of Operations
John Pitchford, a VECTARE co-founder, is Vice President and Treasurer charged with incorporating today’s back and front office technology into a growing, dynamic and emerging scientific technology company. John’s unique background in Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Systems Design, and Finance helps make VECTARE’s operation a state of the art business model.
John currently holds certifications in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from The Association for Operations Management(APICS). In addition John is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB).
In his spare time John teaches supply chain professionals through the DC Metro Chapter of APICS. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems from George Mason University. During John’s time away from the office he enjoys exercising, camping, training his dogs, and doing home improvement projects.
Barth Pitchford
Vice President of Business Development
Barth, A VECTARE co-founder, oversees the design and application of advance sensor and RFID technology for both industry and government clients. Before founding VECTARE in 2004 with other partners and his brothers, he was the President and General Manager of Zeta-IDT, Vice-President of Applications Engineering for BAE Systems and Director of Business Development for the Watkins-Johnson Company.
Barth holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland College Park.
